From a similar area as BHill, good size, and similar schools interested in him. Could he be the next guy?
Both from Illinois, but this guy is from Chicago and Hill's from suburban St. Louis. Opposite ends of the state.

Brother Rice senior running back Xazavian Valladay (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) caught the attention of the Wyoming Cowboys and head coach Craig Bohl this past summer at the Lake Forest College satellite camp at Willowbrook. Valladay's initial impression from the Wyoming staff eventually led to Valladay giving the Cowboys his verbal commitment this evening.

"I feel like I can excel at Wyoming," Valladay said. "Wyoming is where I belong. Wyoming offers a great engineering program plus the football program is on the rise. It's a great fit so I committed."

Valladay made an official visit to Wyoming this past weekend and that visit certainly helped Valladay make his final choice.

"The visit was great. The mountains left me speechless. My Mom was really impressed with the academic programs at Wyoming and my family also thinks Wyoming is just a great fit for me in all phases."

Valladay, who had an offer from Western Illinois was also drawing late season recruiting interest from several Mid American Conference and Missouri Valley Conference schools before ending his recruiting process tonight.

Similar, but different ;)

Another solid running back to the mix. Overstreet redshirting will pay off IMO. He'll come back as a sophomore next year and already have a couple years in the program. Like Nico Evans and Milo Hall too. Then we have a good looking RB redshirting in Mike Green. Theo is on a mission and should come back as a very mature freshman...with good size and speed. Now we add, all name team member, Xazavian Valladay to the mix. Starting to build a solid stable.

Go Pokes!!

Looks like he's from a private all-boys Catholic school. Spending a few years growing up in Louisville, KY, I saw some really impressive football teams from similar schools, so I guess you could say it's nice that he can stand out as a star on his team.

I like that redshirt running back Mike Green as well. Find his twitter post earlier this year at the airport and his comments about CSU.

I had the chance to speak with him before the Cal Davis game--great young man!

I think Green is actually the RB in the stable I'm most excited about in the future. High school teammates with Carl Granderson.

Not to be insensitive, but I'm wondering how to pronounce his first name....would it be pronounced X-zavian or Zazavian. Thanks for the clarification.

I was wondering that too. is the X like in Xavier(zavier) or pronounced as X. Either way I love the name. I am guessing you pronounce the X but don't know.

I would assume this. I bet his parents did it like that to make sure there is no doubt that it's X-zavian. If it were Xavian then it could be "Zavian" or "X-zavian".
