Utah St is up 31-3 at New Mexico. They are out rushing New Mexico 113 - 43 FYI. Looks like the Aggies are going to be fine without Chuckie!
 
Final 45-10. The rushing attack we held o 250 yards last week rolled up 159 tonight at home. 287 total yards to 491 for USU. Trip to Logan not looking too promising with USU's defense. Another team that obviously doesn't understand that the landscape of college football is strictly offense and not to worry about the D.

Wow dude, get over the whole landscape of college football thing.
There is no written rule that says the landscape of college football has to be strictly offense. The whole landscape of college football being about offense is everywhere you see. USU still put up 45 points didn't they?
Bama put up 52. Baylor put up 71 points for like the 4th time this season.
The Beavers have 28 points at halftime.
Wazzu and Oregon had a combined 58 points at halftime.
Michigan and Indiana combined for 110 points today.

No one is saying you have to strictly worry about offense, but you are not paying attention to college football if you don't see that it is an offensive game now.
 
I am good with it all now. Keep in mind that the WAC which is now the MWC were playing high scoring shoot outs while the rest of the country was laughing at the all offense no defense WAC and were focusing on running games and defense so that change that you and some of your sunshine pals chided me and others about was already in place here so yes, a good defense has been a luxury that everyone in the country is looking for with rule changes that favor offenses. A little respect for the opinions and insight for those that have been season ticket holders and Cowboy fans longer than you have been alive would be appreciated. I along with many others have seen the good, the bad and today we saw the ugliest. Every now and then a team with an offense like ours is going to have an off day and they need a little help from the defensive side of the ball....just a key stop or two.....and many have pointed out that there is a lack of defensive prowess with this and all of DC's teams....you might try listening to some of the old timers and looking for what they are telling you rather than going off on a tangent, swearing and pretending you are the know all end all! This is a bad team and not sure why....they have talent but lack consistency on offense....there is no pass rush and they can't stop the run.....not sure about the coverage ability of the secondary as nobody with a decent passing attack has had to throw the ballon us. And BTW...those old people you were upset with today were probably long time season ticket holders that are just as fed up with disrespectful fans as they are with the product on the field.....they are strong contributors to Cowboy Athletics! Go Pokes!

Smith ain't getting drafted, but IF he can, go. No reason to be stuck with an oar after the ship sinks.

As for the whole offense vs defense recruiting thing, the reason Utah state will still remain competitive in the conference is. ......... defense. End of argument. The univ of Utah competes with most Pac 12 teams why? Defense.

You dont want to hear it, stop asking for it or go someplace else. Because you are going to hear it. This game WASNT the players fault as you maintain.
This is an issue of poor leadership,

If you want to eat shit and call it fudge, fine. But if you dont want to hear anyone else bitch about it not tasting as good as you say it does...be prepared to be dissapointed!

If you want to be a contributor-join the conversation. Tell us why it DOESNT need to change, tell us why it really IS the kids fault. Engage us.

Lol...whatever your point is here, college football teams still score more than they use too and it isn't hard to see. Do we want a defense? Yes who wouldn't?!?!?! This isn't about old timers being right so you can sit there and say I told you so....this is about the fact in general, college football is all about offense now! That's the point of this, not the fact we have no defense.

Whoa....UNM sucks. USU may be without Keeton, but they're still very good in the trenches. A good O-Line and D-Line are focal points of good football teams.

Your entire argument changes from post to post, because all you are trying to do is be the one that says "I told you so".
This whole damn argument and the landscape of college football is about most offenses in the NCAA putting up a lot more points, and not emphasizing on defense. Yet you think you are somehow winning this argument because Wyoming has a bad defense????

In GENERAL, college football is all about offense. I got a lesson in college football? How? Did CSU embarrassing us all of a sudden make the college football landscape not about offense anymore? Do the majority of teams now focus on defense because of the Wyo game saturday? What are you getting at? What is your point?

Like I said, fans of the WAC/MWC have been settling games through offensive shoot outs long before the high scoring games that are seen throughout all of college football today. Football is a team game and regardless of what your opinion is, defenses are still a big part of every team! Championship contenders still play defense....Stanford beat UCLA 24-10, OK State beat TCU by the same score, Tenn beat S Carolina 23-21 so obviously some teams are still playing defense.......even your Beavers have a pretty good defense.....now I know that you will counter with some high scoring shoot outs from the likes of Oregon and TAMU.....those games are fun and Oregon May end up playing for the National Championship....just like they did a few years ago with similar gaudy numbers only to get beat by a pretty good defensive LSU team. (Apologies it was Auburn that beat Ore) Bottom line is Wyoming does not have a defense and will not contend as a result which until yesterday you failed to recognize....even defended blowing a 21 point lead to a very bad New Mexico......thumped your chest as to how we held them to 250 yards rushing. The old adage still rings true, offense wins games, defense wins championships!

I don't feel that I am winning any argument as there has to be defendable positions in order to have one......just trying to get the facts straight and help to further educate you as to what a real winning program entails.
 
Lol you don't need to educate ANYONE about how defenses help teams win. I never argued that. Great teams still play D, yes, but most teams don't.
