USU smacking the donks around.

Good win for them. They are the fanboy antithesis.
FWIW, they were a perennial bottom dweller prior to Anderson. He had them at 7 wins within 3 years and 11 in 4. They have been pretty good since. All this and they spend a million less on football than we do and they are third fiddle in their state.

I wonder how that could work? They also hired Barnes the year before Anderson.

The key to getting them both was a university president willing to elevate athletics. Went from an afterthought to getting funds/donations/buildings. Improved or AD with Barnes, but no way we get Andersen without commitment to find football. Big key point for Andersen was assistant coach salaries. Anderson took less pay to improve assistant pay. That was huge.
But your point of leadership is spot on.

I only know about your leadership from lurking here. But I would guess that assistant coach salaries are also an issue.

I'll take it! And Vigen actually calling different plays and keeping Nevada on their heels.
I think hill being effective between the tackles has opened up things to the outside and then the passing game could develop. Only incompletion was a drop. If the line can block for hill and Coffman can stay effective, I see a few more touchdowns coming

Yep. And we get the ball to start the 2nd half too. So if we can get some points on it, then just keep riding that momentum.
