"Wyoming is known to have received 12 verbal commitments for its 2010 recruiting class."

GREG BARKSDALE (6-3, 210), OLB, Crete, Ill. (Monee HS)

C.J. BENNETT (6-0, 198), QB, Tampa, Fla. (Tampa Alonso HS)

NEHEMIE KANKOLONGO (5-11, 200), RB, Maple Ridge, B.C. (Coquitlam Centennial HS)

RILEY LANGE (6-3, 235), DE, Parker, Colo. (Ponderosa HS)

DREW MARTINEZ (6-1, 165), WR, Green River, Wyo. (Green River HS)

DYLAN McELVEEN (6-1, 180), DB, Crete, Ill. (Crete-Monee HS)

C.J. MORGAN (5-10, 170), WR, Aurora, Colo. (Eaglecrest HS)

SONNY PULETASI (6-3, 215), DE, Lawton, Okla. (Lawton HS)

SAM STRATTON (6-0, 190), QB, Littleton, Colo. (Chatfield HS)

TYLER STRONG (6-3, 270), DT, Niwot, Colo. (Niwot HS)

BILLY VAVAU (6-3, 295), NG, Sandy, Utah (Jordan HS)

DARRENN WHITE (6-0, 190), ATH, Kansas City, Mo. (University Academy)

And interesting, that Scout, lists 10 verbals (unlike the 12 listed in the Boomerang & WTE)...but there are 4 names that don't match up:

Billy Vavau NG, Sandy, UT (In the Boomerang but not in Scout)
Desmond Tautofi DT, Honolulu, HI (In Scout but not in the Boomerang)
Drew Martinez WR, Green River, WY (In the Boomerang but not in Scout)
Dylan mcElveen DB, Crete, IL (In the Boomerang but not in Scout)

OK...what the hell is going on. I bet the other recruiting news-site information has a different number yet. I guess, maybe, it is best to wait until February 3rd...as too many things can & will change! Damn!

Im sure the Boomerang has there lsit from the coach where as scout goes off hear say sometimes adnd htey wont psot anything until they get confirmation

On the Hawaii boards, they seem pretty sure that Desmond Tautofi will decommit from Wyoming to join Hawaii instead. I hope they're wrong about that.

If they are, I'll give them a lot of grief for it. Besides WyoNation, I'm on Sports Hawaii all the time so....

Love quoting this score to them....

WYOMING 66, Hawaii 0 in 1996!

Ouch, that's a big loss if true. Of the D-lineman that have committed to UW so far, Tautofi was the best one. He was already there physically and likely would have seen the field as a true freshman. It's not an easy job to get those kids out of Hawaii unless they are mormon. Oh well, decommits happen from time to time.

I was there

I just love driving my buddies in the Islands nutz about that game!

I always kind of felt bad for the Rainbow Warriors. Rainbows on their helmets and all. It may be 30+ years before they do anything significant again (and that isn't saying much considering they play in the WHACK).

They did play in the Sugar Bowl a couple of years back but really stunk it up badly against Georgia!!!!

They didn't have any kind of sources, it was just their "hunch," so they may be completely off. I have a feeling it has to do with the whole "island pride" thing - which isn't bad in and of itself. We'd probably be disappointed if there was an awesome recruit from Cheyenne that ended up going to Nevada or something. I'm guessing this is similar...

You got it right on the money. They REALLY hate it when a talented KID leaves "the Rock" for the mainland. Espacially if he signs with a PAC-10 school or BYU.

Scout.com sucks. I'm thinking about cancelling my membership with Scout.

I was wondering about Scout...and honestly, have come to the conclusion, that unless you talk to Matt or Dave directly, there is no way of knowing much (or if it is accurate or not) until signing day.

Looks like DC thinks that the O-line is just fine. Maybe he figures that all he needs to do is get some very fast, shifty QB's. I hope he doesn't have cranio-rectal insertion syndrome with respect to the O-line.

Well...he has at least 12 on the roster, with only 2 seniors. So maybe there is not a huge pressing need right now...and the future does look bright? Also, gotta consider, they are being coached by somebody other than Germer now...so that will make a difference.
