@UNLV

We should probably be down by a lot more than we are which is good but we have to have an amazing second half.

Starting 0-10 from the field, we are very lucky to be this close. Have a feeling the Pokes will pull out a last minute play to win the game and ruin Senior night for UNLV. Come on Pokes, beat the software algorithm that had you at 13-18. Go Pokes!!! close this one out.

Painful, we started slow and then lost Adams and we all know that this year the one guy we need in the game to have a chance is Adams. Anything can happen during the Tournament so lets hope that lighting strikes and we pull off a nice run as the #10 seed as I don't want to face SDSU game #2.

Too many players get in the air with no shot and then have no where to pass. That may not get us into trouble against a terrible defense like csewe, but it's a recipe for disaster against an athletic team.

It's sad that none of the young guys other than Jmac have really stepped up to be major contributors this year. I'm starting to wonder just what next year is going to be like. I don't see a lot of talent out there. We've got Adams, who every team we play keys on, and no one other than Jmac takes advantage of it. What's going to happen when these guys have to create their own shots?

I think someone will step up next year. Someone has to.

Naughton will be really, really good for us. Jordan has massive potential as a two-way player. Josh is a freaking stud. I don't see how he won't play in the NBA. He was clearly the best player out there among all that talent.

Sadly some of our players just look like they don't belong on the court against super athletic teams like SDSU and UNLV. Hopefully Conway and Moemeka will help this problem.

Had our chances, game we coulda/shoulda won. Free throws continue to plague us....... Aka Gorski 2-7 is the difference in the game right there. Josh and Jason did what they could, supporting cast continues to be non-existent, and once Josh fouled out it seemed it was over. To have a chance at all we need to have several offensive contributors to help carry the load......
Herndon: zero points, zero rebounds, 4 fouls; shoot I should try out, I could contribute at least that much and I'm a slow ol white fella with a bad knee.
Liebs: 4 pts, 1 assist, 2 turnovers; Can't say he played poorly, just coulda used more from him.
JJ: I'm a big Justin James fan, but thought he had a pretty rough game tonight, 2-9 with a couple costly turnovers late in the game.
Barnes: sigh.

Bottom line as others have said is our supporting cast this season simply isn't enough to help Josh carry the load. There have been some good moments but as we know with the young team, the inconsistency of our supporting players have led to dropping a ton of the close games that a more experienced team might win.

Look forward to seeing what another year of growth and maturity will do for these guys. We'll miss Josh terribly, but hoping to see several players take big leaps forward next year, because we're going to need to replace a giant chunk of our scoring load from this year to next. Herndon, Lieberman, James, Naughton, Dalton, Aka Gorski are all going to need to be heavily relied on next year as the veterans along side Jmac, with Conway and Moemeka hopefully contributing as freshmen as well.

Well if this season is any indication, without Adams the team will score about 22 points per game next year.

We had 3 starters who combined for 0 made FGs. We made 24 FGs total in the game and Josh Adams made 10 of those. Who's going to be able to get a bucket next year against athletic teams? Yikes . Our starting 4 -5 played 23 minutes and scored 0 points and grabbed 2 rebounds.

We had 55 minutes go to guys who would be considered 4/5s between Dalton, Herndon, Barnes and Naughton. In those 55 minutes they combined for 5 rebounds. Now I'm not concerned about Naughton but god that's an eye opening stat.
