UNLV

Last scrimmage of the year.

They have a pretty bad defense and are ranked just ahead of us in rushing D. They are giving up a little over 200 yards a game on the ground. In that regard, they are similar to CSU, but UNLV is allowing a little over 5.5 yards/carry vs. 4.8 for CSU. They are a little better against the pass but still among the bottom in the MWC. With that said, most MWC schools rank pretty high in passing yards allowed. I think that is because the run defenses are suspect and lack of outstanding QB play in the league. Thus, I think it is saying something that UNLV is ranked so low. Their total defense is worst in MWC.

Their offense is actually ranked pretty high at around 55-60 but drop below 90 in 3rd down conversions. They've been to the red zone more often than us (and they played 1 game less) and scored both TDs and FGs more often.

They don't turn the ball over much and don't get many penalties.

We are going to have to get them in third down. I know we say it every week, but I think this will be the best chance all season to truly establish a run game early. Play action should work well if we get the run going.

Scrimmage, I like it, yeah maybe you are right and we have the State of Nevada's number this year, just as long as Hill get the record and a win would be another plus, but I'm glad this horror is almost over!!!
