Mockup of that:

I also feel like we need to bring back the helmet striping. Same pattern as the packers, but brown and gold instead of green and white.

+1000. I never have liked the plain white helmet nearly as much as the striped helmet.

Agreed. I liked the helmets we wore against SDSU at home last year, except I have not decided what I think of Steamboat on one side and the block W on the other. The main point is that we embraced the brown and yellow. I just think we should do that more across the entire department.

I just hope the brand modernization think doesn't go as crazy as it did under Moon with all the new imagery.

I had a friend once comment that "hipsters love authenticity" or something to that effect. The context was economic redevelopment in our communities and the hipsters reference was related to the big-spending 20-something crowd that happens to relate to the typical student demographic profile. At Wyoming, we have authenticity coming out of our ears. We just need to do a better job of selling it.

As for old vs modern style, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, etc have not had any trouble landing recruits even though they have not changed their on-field appearance one iota since Reagan was in office.

No the big, prolific schools haven't had to worry about their uniforms...because they were too busy winning and making millions off their brand. Wyo hasn't...and we need to do something to help our cause.

And, if I ever see yellow pants and jerseys at home -instant execution of the equipment manager.

I wish you good luck in telling Mad Dog what you think of his jersey combinations.
