Uniforms

I did like the brown helmets with gold steamboat. Just wish we could get a shiny gold helmet and unis to go with it for a "Goldrush", you know?
 
These were the uniforms I mentioned at the start of the season that Nike initially screwed up. The re-done versions just came in before the last game. When they stretch they are laced with white. Not sure if anyone could see that on tv or in the stands.

Love the "Goldrush" concept/idea. That would be awesome if we did something like that.

Aren't those the same jerseys they've been wearing in practice all season?
 
I liked the uniforms. sort of a throw back look to them. I am NOT a fan of the "W" on the helmet though. We have an iconic helmet symbol; we shouldn't mess with that too much.

I was thinking the same thing.
 
Those might be my new favorite. I kind of like the "W" given that Steamboat is still proudly displayed on the helmet.


ps. Also looks like we picked up two new recruits. Both big OL who decommitted from Western Michigan?
 
i kinda like the W

and it's not like we've never had the w on our helmets.....in fact i was alway under the impression that we used it before we ever used steamboat
 
I HATE the W on our helmets. I know that a few of our coaches (including our head coach) went to Washington, but that's where that W should stay. Wyoming has Steamboat on their helmets, and ONLY Steamboat!
 
The Steamboat is our symbol and should be used in the vast majority of games..however, I really like the look of the W! My only suggestion would be to have the W on both sides of the helmet when used.

Let's be honest, our uniforms have advanced leaps and bounds in the past 5 years! Just look back at the praire gold uniforms and the New Balance gameday gold uniforms that followed. In fact, I would put us and Boise State as having the best uniform combinations in the MWC.

It sounds crazy, but the uniforms DO help quite a bit in recruiting.

Steamboat or nothing! We've got one of the most iconic and recognizable helmets in all of college football. You think that Texas is thinking about putting a T on the side of their helmet like Tennessee? NO!

If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. LEAVE STEAMBOAT ALONE!!!

Do you think the majority of recruits know anything about Steamboat or even associate it with Wyoming when they see it? The answer is NO.

Do I love the Steamboat and proudly display it? ABSOLUTELY YES!

The W is a good change of pace and it's not like we are abandoning Steamboat.

Let me add that for the 62-64 seasons Wyoming used a W on the helmet b-4 we went with the bucking horse and rider logo, so I have no problem with using both. Kind of a half throw back to our early days.

I do NOT like the W. Maybe its cuz my age and im young so ive always just seen the steamboat logo and thats the one i love!

No those are just solid brown practice jerseys.
