Nothing to worry about. Florida wouldn't ever want to hire Shyatt at this point.

While I think you are probably correct, that wasn't my first thought on Shyatt. Nor second.

And not for one second would Shyatt pass up a chance to quadruple (or more) his take home. Nor should he.

I agree with you he wouldn't pass it up. There is just no shot in hell Florida would ever offer Shyatt at this point so not even worried about it.

Not sure what else you were thinking?

I don't know. I think Shy is pretty happy here and has the support he needs for the most part. I don't think it's all about money for him anymore, and I don't know that he'd take the job if offered.

Not that he shouldn't, and I would blame him at all if he did. Just not sure it would be something he'd do, just for the $$

GO POKES!

Uh oh. It seems, atleast to me, when someone says they're staying, they usually have other plans. Lets hope not...

EDIT: Maybe a little context. How many times have we seen where a name pops up in discussions for new hires and said person denies and denies and denies only to end up packing up and moving? Seems like it happens FAR more than it should. Where theres smoke theres fire....Lets hope this spark gets extinguished soon

You just never know...but I sure wish Burman would have locked it down a couple of weeks ago - and put some language in the contract similar to the CSewe contract issued to that buck toothed fuck of a football coach.

This was one contract extension that Burman could have done right...and gotten right. Finally. And then, he still may. Jury is out.

Yeah when i first saw that he said he was committed to Wyoming it made me think he might be leaving  . WHenever they say that they usually do the opposite just as you have said. Hopefully he stays just as he says he is. Of course who knows if Billy would ask Shyatt to be on the bench with him? He probably would but who knows.

Why did Pam and Larry come back in the first place? Because they love it in Wyoming.

I don't know if Pam would want to move to Okla-fucking-Homa, and have Larry be on the road for half the year.
Plus she has a good job working for the state. It's not all about Larry at this point.

But, then again, what do I know?

Scroll to the bottom of this SI article from 2007.

Shows how respected Shyatt is as a defensive coach. I've actually researched it and coach Shyatt has coaching clinics he puts on for coaches teaching defense and has dvd's and notes you can buy from his clinics he puts on. He is actually far more respected as a defensive mind in the game of basketball than a lot of us Wyoming fans even realize even though we know he is very good.
