Twitter fight!

Surprised nobody has posted thoughts on the Twitter fight between Larry Nance, Jr. and Lekan Ajayi last night. Check the tape:

http://twitter.com/#!/larrydn22

http://twitter.com/#!/olamilekanSWAGG

Apparently, Ajayi transferred to FIU to play for Isiah Thomas because he didn't see a quick path to playing time. Larry Ether'd Ajayi in four tweets:

"@olamilekanSWAGG I am in the right place.. You were too, just didn't know it"

"@olamilekanSWAGG I do play for a great coach, but u just didn't see it how the rest of us do cause all u were worried about was playing time"

"@olamilekanSWAGG funny how two traitors ended up in south beach... You and "King" James, hope you enjoy it"

"Disrespect me, my team, or my school and you will be disrespected right back #nocomparison"

I've followed young Nance since he committed and he really seems to wear his heart on his sleeve and has definitely bought into the us-against-the-world, team = family mentality that Shyatt is preaching and that is vital to having a successful team in Laramie. I'm not sure how Coach Shyatt feels about airing these grievances on the Twitter machine but you know he appreciates the sentiment.

I saw part of the fight last night...it was awesome. I'm glad we got a guy like larry at UW. He's got a huge future at UW! Great guy! Great Cowboy! If we can build a team of guys like him, we'll be un-stopable!

I took a look at the whole exchange. This might be a small thing, but did anyone else notice a difference in grammar and punctuation?

Is South Florida in the Big Least now or are they in one of the Mid-Major conferences--like C-USA for example?

USF has been in the Big East since 2005.

But I thought I read FIU. If so, FIU is in the Sun Belt.

He is at FIU and keeps referring to Isiah Thoams as "Lord" I cant stand this kid, no wonder he couldnt last in Laramie he just wants to party and he is selfish. I had to tweet to him, he was pissing me off and I think Larry Nance handled it fine, he didn't say anything out of line

My bad. Florida International it is. South Florida is in Tampa. I guess he is at a whole new level of ball because MWC > Sun Belt.

I was really impressed by how young Mr. Nance handled it too. I also noticed that Gary Strewski (a sportscaster) re-tweeted one of the comments in the exchange.

Still, Twitter can be a dangerous thing...especially in the hands of those who have more youth than experience.

Did anyone notice which person cited the statistically low odds of someone becoming a pro athlete? It seems like it was the player that has the best view of the inside of the NBA.

Larry tore his ass up.

Lekan is kind of an idiot on twitter. I know he's young and he'll probably outgrow it, but he's a twitter-tard. He tries to hide his limited grasp of English by surrounding it with "Nigerrian Swagggggggggggggggggggg", and "Yeah Boy" 's. It's like he's a wigger except that he's black. You can tell he's trying to be the stereotypical American black male.

Larry seems like a smart guy and he's right. Lekan is selfish and Wyoming has benefited from losing the guy that was too into himself. Lekan never realized that the guy coaching him is one of the top 50 coaches in the game and Isiah, WAS a great point gaurd. He doesn't have the years coaching experience that Shyatt does. He doesn't have the national championship rings from coaching. Shyatt does. His name is not mentioned by any number of basketball analysts for excellence in coaching, Shyatt's is.

If you we're starting a senior league basketball team Isiah would be the man. For coaching, not so much. Ask the Knicks.

The only thing Lekan has is South Beach, and it will serve his purpose well. He doesn't want to learn the game as much as he wants to get laid. It's that simple.

What I got out of this is Larry has embraced his Cowboy teammates, his school, the state, and embraced Laramie. I really like this young man. He is a Cowboy, and Mr SWAGGGGG is tool .

Anyone check out FIUs record? It's pretty LOL worthy. Isaiah is doing a bang up job in Miami!

Would you say he has gotten better at assembling and coaching a team than he was with the New York Knicks?

I noteced that the Knicks even broke professional practice rules while he was there. I assme that is hard to do?

I don't really follow college or pro basketball, but judging just from records alone I'd say FIU is probably not a very good team, even with "LORD" coaching them.

Yep Lekan, you're right, there is no comparison. The difference is clear:
