I remember listenning to the 1988 Wyoming @ Hawaii game on my radio at 10:30 P.M. MT.

I think UW was forced into taking all of these late games for TV accommodation. I mean think about it when is the last time we had this many late games in 1 season? It's because Wyoming has no local cable provider that wants to cover or is capable of broadcasting the games.

Boise could easily get coverage from NBCSports, Air Force and CSU have a multitude of broadcast providers in Colorado that were willing to jump at the coverage options. Root picked up everything that it could but could only broadcast 2 games per day or 3 if including a late game.

You are nearly always going to put the weaker or the lower audience teams as the late games not in the first or second spot. I think we can think the University for this as they either did a shit job finding broadcast options or they were being cheap and I'm willing to bet they were being cheap it's nothing new.

All these games being on root really sucks being in Arizona, I've had to listen to nearly every Cowboys game this season ugh.
