Defense lighting offense up early! Berg with pick six already! I'm not sure I've ever seen a redshirt freshman that had a nose for the football quite like him. Not sure if he was on 2's vs 1's or if he was on 1's vs. 2's.

Didn't he get two? From the sounds of it on twitter, he got one early then he got a second off of a tip later on.

I think everyone is expecting our defense to be a pushover this season, but they might very well be in the top three in the conference. This will be tough on our offense in the preseason, but would really give the offense a boost when we hit the regular season.

From what I've heard, Tormey was a bad HC, but a really good DC wherever he's been. And from what I've been hearing, this guy is sounding like a really good hire. The defense sounds like it is actually a defense in all aspects, and not just TOs. Because last year we were great at TO's (top 5 in the nation), but only so-so against the pass, and one of the worst against the run because we couldn't tackle a RB for crap once they got past the line of scrimmage. To me, it sounds like the Cowboy Tough Defense is on it's way back. :thumb:

It would be really nice to not have to rely on turnovers to stop a running team. I'm cautiously optimistic... hopefully the offense improves somewhat as well.
