Take a look at the non-P5 pick

Group of 5: Josh Allen, Wyoming

Allen is just a third-year sophomore, but keep an eye on this kid for the future. At 6-5, 220, Allen looks like an NFL quarterback. In fact, his movements remind me of Philip Rivers, but Allen has some wheels that Rivers doesn't. Allen led the Cowboys to an upset win over Boise State on Saturday, completing 18 of 31 passes for 274 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 53 yards. I want to see how Allen develops -- he needs to cut down on the picks (seven so far). Other Group of 5 QBs to keep an eye on: Western Michigan's Zach Terrell and Central Michigan's Cooper Rush.

We all know some of the pics were flukey and 5 in one quarter or whatever it was against Nebraska

Nice. Thanks for posting that. I'll have to rip that off and repost it for the Boise fans on the MWCboard that think he's QBR challenged on second and third down.

:)

I dont even think Kipers INT comment even plays considering 5 came in those 2 quarters at Nebraska. 2 INTs in the other 7 games. Ill take that. (yes you cant throw a game away but we saw how some of those were flukes and Allen was getting desperate to try and keep WYO in it). You cant teach 6' 6' 220 with a rocket arm and above average mobility. Will be great to watch him develop next 2 plus years.

I concur! His last pick wasn't even that bad. I don't expect ESPN guys to be actually tuned into the UW season near as close as our fans. I'm sure they're just now taking notice a little more. It's also college ball. This is a soph QB. 7 picks at this point for a UW QB is cloud 9. Remember when Bramlet had like 5 TO's in a game???? Allen has leadership capability too. He's ripped off some massive game winning plays for the squad. That opening game set the tone

It's pretty obvious from that paragraph he only saw clips from the Boise game, which Allen passed the eye test, and looked up his season stats. That's it. Doubt there's been much film-watching on him yet.

He had 7 I think. didn't win another game that year after a 4-1 start.

Correct. It's the worst game I've been to. I think he fumbled it twice on plays trying to QB sneak into the endzone, and at least one of his TOs went 90 yards in the opposite direction for a defensive TD.
