This Day In Cowboy History: Aug 28th

A friend of mine and her husband was at the game. Sadly, they weren't able to get me a program.

She and her husband graduated from UW and at the time where living in Tiffin, OH. They now live in Torrington, WY.

ah, my second year of college! Sadly, I can't remember watching this game. I think the reason was because we didn't win any memorable games. Tough to follow up your freshman year Fall 1996! That Hawaii game was the best. Still haven't had a 66-0 beat down of anybody since.

I drive my friends in Hawaii absolutely crazy reminding them of that score!!!! It's now 3rd worse loss in Hawaii history and the # 1 worse shutout loss for them.

Oh, after I tell them 66-0, they always counter with "at least we went to a BCS bowl game recently." Yeah, only to get your asses handed to ya on a platter by Georgia in the Sugar Bowl! Hawaii had no business being in that game. Only reason they went 12-0 that year was the shittist schedule ever for college football! A junior high school team coulda played that schedule and do well with it!!!!!!

I remember that game well. We were chopping corn in the field closest to my house that day :thumb:

wouldn't that be the memory of every game day? :)

Well not exactly. We have plenty of fields not that close and during October we harvest beets. And October/November we combine corn ;)

But I am going to 2 games this year to break up the monotony
