They say bad things happen in threes.
But University of Wyoming football player D.J. May doesn’t think that way. In fact, you could say the junior outside linebacker is expecting the third time to be a charm.
May will play in his third season with the Cowboys when they open the 2015 campaign at 2 p.m. Saturday against North Dakota. He has yet to play a full season, although he played in 11 of 12 games as a true freshman in 2012.
Then a running back, May didn’t play in 2013 due to a torn pectoral muscle suffered while lifting weights during summer workouts. May redshirted that season.
Last season, May tore the anterior cruciate ligament in a knee prior to UW’s seventh game at Colorado State.
