This season Wyoming has made 1.5 plus from t.v revenue. The conference pools and pays shares for Boise revenue so we'll get some from that as well. At a minimum 1.5 in bonus t.v money.
In addition, our attendance increased by about 3000 fans per game. A conservative estimate for average ticket price is 25 dollars. 3000 x 6 games = 18000 x 25 = 450,000 in ticket revenue alone. I have no idea on the increase in consessions and merchandise, so I'm going to leave that out of my estimate. I'm sure it's very significant.
The article I'm linking says we get a minimum pay-out of 777,000 for the title game. Again, I'm leaving out additional money since I don't want to guess and screw up my estimate.
1.5 million + 450 k + 770 k = 2,727,000. With all I left out, I'm comfortable saying our football team earned us an additional 3 million this season.
It looks like Bohl, the assistants, and Russell Dennison are about to get paid.
