Good article. And good to know that he'll have practices and what not open to the public and be more open to the media in general.

But wait for haters, wait for it...

Like his explanation for why he will be the OC. Hope it works out....although the issue offensively last season wasn't play-calling.

I hope to hear more about practice now that access is completely open.

Agree - defense was the major issue, but second half offense was hot on it's heels.

Yep, we will have to wait until this season to figure that one out.....might have been Coach Brandon, or something else. Odd trend nobody could explain....2nd half adjustments maybe? If so, who made those adjustments?

I can't remember, did Arroyo have 2nd half issues? Or did he just suck altogether?

Arroyo just sucked period.

This article gets me pumped. I really do think we are looking toward an 8-4 or 9-3 season.

This offense is set up to be perhaps the best since 1996.

Glad to see practices open and accurate injury information. Having a good relationship with the media and the people of the state is important. Frederickson is leaving; so he really didn't need to write this article. Makes me think DC is really being sincere.

I sure wish we had Marcus Harris now. Although, the WR position might be deeper than it was in 1996.
Herron may be one of the best since those days. He has the speed and hands. If he can just stay healthy throughout the season, it'll pay off big time. He's shown his speed is practically unmatched, even by big schools like Texas. The only flaw is one that he can't control, and that's his height. But it really hasn't hampered him so far.

Yeah and I wish we had Marcus Bailey on the hoops team. And I wish we had Javon Boknight... and Malcolm Floyd. And Devon Moore. But we don't.

I'm wondering if in past years, Christensen knew we had some obvious weaknesses that he spent practices trying to compensate for with various schemes or whatnot. Of course those weaknesses would always be visible come game day. Maybe he's a little more confident with this year's squad and more willing to "show it off" with the open practices. At least I hope so.

So glad to hear that practices will be more open to fans and the press. I think this is a great decision from DC. Now we'll know more about our own team than we do about our rivals.

I'm thinking that the "Howdy Doody" incident and the fine were just a part of reason Coach Christensen saw the light. It's my understanding that some very high profile UW supporters let it be known they were none too pleased with Coach Christensen and his antics. The fact that he's not gone out of his way to smooze the fat cats, they way Glenn did, cost him when the chips were down. Being more open and friendly will serve him better than coming across as the hard ass, especially in a state like Wyoming. With just over 500,000 people in the state, it's a very small community, particularly among those who are strong supporters of UW. So maybe he's come to realize that Wyoming is just a city with really long streets and everybody, knows everybody.
