The FBS Split is Near

Every team professional sport has a minor league but the NFL it's mind boggling to me that someone hasn't jumped in at creating a D league for NFL teams it's just screaming Money imo.

Agreed. Relative to paying players and players' worth, the benefit of the University endorsement is greatly undervalued in the conversation, however.

If you put a NFL D league team in Gainesville, Austin, Tuscaloosa, etc., and you moved all the current players from the roster at Florida, Texas, Alabama, etc. to the NFL D league team, what would attendance be? If at Florida, Texas, Alabama, you replaced all those NFL D league players with more players that weren't as highly recruited out of high school and continued on with CFB, what would the attendance be?

I'm not sure I've articulated that very well, but I think the name on the front of the jersey carries more weight than the name on the back.

No classes and money? 75% of players would love it. It wouldnt matter about the name on the front. I'd say Wyoming would be on a more level playing field than they ever have. Bring it.

NDSU wants this split bad as well as the top 10 fcs teams because they should be FBS but aren't getting invites

If NCAA is smart. They do the P5 with the bcs. Then combine the rest and the best of fcs into the current fcs playoff system.

Cusa vs mac vs mwc teams battling in a playoff would be much better than the popfart bowl
LOL. So put current FBS teams into the FCS with schools who spend half as much. Don't see that happening. If your hypothetical were to come to pass, there'll be cherry picking of the top of FCS.
