Our 1988 squad has to be in the top 5. Our 1988 team coulda beaten our 1996 squad easily.

The 1987 needs to be in their due to the fact it was the last Wyoming team to beat the basterds in Provo and eventually win the outright WAC Championship that year.

That '96 team was so fun to watch. One thing that jumps out at me on that list is the dominant defense the teams had. Giving up only 89 and 110 points in a season? Christ we give that up in six quarters now.

OHHHH to be able to tackle like that yet again, it's always nice to dream!!!

Wish there was quick links to see like the 2 deep depth chart and rosters and maybe recruiting classes each year on here.

Who was the 96' defense? Talich? Who else?

It would help educate and mostly help w all our memories if there were ways to view it class by class and year by year.

Jay Jenkins, Brian Lee, (for sure) and Trent Gamble (I think). Solid!

That's what I was wondering if that was the year Brian Lee picked off all those passes. He was incredible player, esp that season. I though gamble was a little later?

It's painful to rewatch, but the UW American Heritage Center still has the 1996 WAC Championship Game in its digital collection.

Search "Wyoming BYU" and you'll see all four quarters and OT pop up. Strangely, it's all stock footage, so there are no announcers.

Also, if you want to relive it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwWTDA_1aew" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just stop watching after the 2:15 mark. SO close to 11-1 and the Cotton Bowl.
