Team to Beat: Aztecs

I was able to watch the SDSU-Creighton game tonight and came away very impressed with the Aztecs. They are a very athletic and deep team again this year.

They're well coached as always and can score from anywhere on the floor.

After seeing what Arizona has done this year, they get a pass for that loss. I think they are going to be the team to beat for the MW crown this year.

Way too early to tell.
First it was NM and Boise with SDSU and UNLV right there.
Then it's SDSU and Boise with NM forgetting how to play defense and UNLV totally dropping off.

Just wait to see how the Pokes respond in the rest of their OOC games.
If CU and Ohio State are the only losses starting MWC play, it would be hard to count the Pokes out.

NMSU's center is 7'5". They were previously undefeated but haven't played anyone. The Aggies will find out how good they are the first few weeks in December when the play UNM, Gonzaga, and Arizona.

New Mexico State is a team we should play every year.... Wonder why we don't?

I think NMSU lost to Western Michigan as well.

NMSU is a quality opponent though.

Sim is 7"5 his brother Tanveer who is currently redshirting is 7"3. Daniel Mullings also WAC preseason player of the year. Haven't played a tough schedule so far, beat UTEP twice, why might not seem like a big deal but that's a big rivalry obviously, they're coached by Tim Floyd and only lost by 4 to KU tonight. Tell Shy to call up Coach Menzies. Marvin said tonight he loves playing MW schools.
