If you can judge character from twitter (can you?) he was the most arrogant player on the team. Dude wasn't even starting and basically thought he was one step away from pro. I doubt he has family issues. Not being able to cut the cord doesn't count as family issues. There are worse ways to leave as pointed out, but "family issues" is the easiest excuse to not get ripped for. It seems to me like Texas has a lot of family issues. If kids can't handle some criticism, then they should go ahead and squash any hopes in the nfl.
