Around the Chutes. . .
Congratulations to the Pokes' Josh Biezuns who was named this week's Mountain West Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his effort last week at Bowling Green.

Certainly the Nebraska game is a big part of this weekend, but it's not the only event going on. The volleyball team hosts Boise State Thursday night at 7 p.m. and Air Force Saturday at 1 p.m., at the UniWyo Sports Complex.

Soccer also is at home, hosting South Dakota Friday at 4 p.m. and Creighton Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex.

The Cross Country team is off until October 1, but had a good outing last weekend at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational in Lincoln, NE. The Cowboys finished second (out of 26 teams) and the Cowgirls were fourth (out of 25 teams).

The Cowboy golf team recorded its third straight top ten finish yesterday, finishing eighth (out of 19) at the Air Force Falcon Invitational. Junior Clinton Boutelle was Wyoming's top finisher with a tie for fifth in the 100-player field. Boutelle finished the tournament five under.

Really enjoy this weekend everyone, and don't forget to wear your Game Day Gold!
