Thank You. . .
A huge thanks to all the Cowboy fans who attended the home opener. The weather could not have been better, and the game-day gold throughout the stadium was tremendous. You fans made the atmosphere a lot of fun. Everyone who worked extremely hard on the Downtown Kickoff also appreciated your support. It was a great success, and plans will be in motion soon for another edition next season.

Big Saturday Coming up. . .
In addition to the Cowboys hosting Cal Poly this week which is sponsored by BP America, Saturday is going to be a very busy day. Remember kickoff is 4 p.m. for the Pokes’ second home game of the season. Four special events will be going on during the day. The first annual Fan Fest (see below) will start the day at 1 p.m. in the Indoor Practice Facility. Saturday also is Youth Day, Band Day and Campus Pass Day. Western Thunder Director Brad Williamson has indicated there will be over 1,000 high school band members from around Wyoming in attendance and performing at halftime. What does the Youth Day promotion mean? With a full-priced ticket, a parent may bring as many as four children (12 years of age and under) to the game for free. Make sure you contact the ticket office before Saturday, because this promotion will not be available on Saturday. For Campus Pass, tickets may be purchased through the UW Admissions office. Tickets are $28 for adults and $12 for youth between the ages of 3 and 18. Campus Pass tickets are only available online with a promotional code which may be obtained through the UW Admissions office.

Tailgate Park will be open from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. It is FREE and open to the public. Tailgate Park will include the So Your Friends Are Actors Band performing on the Pepsi Stage, Food and Beverage Vendors (Pit Crew BBQ, McAlister's Deli, Shadow's Pub and Grill, Papa John's Pizza, and Mulligan's Pub.) Both 1290 KOWB and 1240 KFBC will have a live radio remote. The Brown 'N Gold Outlet will be one hand with all the latest Cowboy gear. Check out displays from Union Wireless, Rocky Mountain Oncology, CoPSA, Pepsi, Laramie GM Auto Center, Wyoming Republican Party and the Cowboy Joe Pony. We would also like to welcome the following groups to Tailgate Park: BP America, Mountain West Farm Bureau and AG Day participants

From the Compliance Office...

Boosters play an important role in UW’s athletic community. As a booster, you may: 1) Inform UW coaches of PSAs in your area by sending them newspaper clippings with the names of the particular prospect(s); 2) Attend a high school athletics contest, however, if you do so, you must avoid contact and conversation with the PSA and his/her family; and 3) Continue normal contacts with a PSA if you have an “established” relationship and the contacts are not recruiting related. As a booster, you may not: 1) Contact a PSA, his/her family, relatives or legal guardians on or off UW’s campus; 2) Be involved in arranging or giving financial-aid or other benefits not permitted by NCAA regulations to a PSA, his/her relatives or friends; 3) Make special arrangements for entertainment for recruiting purposes; and 4) Contact a prospect, his/her family, relatives, or legal guardians through any social media website (i.e., Facebook, Twitter). For more information please visit the compliance page on the Wyoming athletics website. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our compliance staff. Jessica Kumke, Director of Compliance – (307) 766-4960 or Peter Prigge, Compliance Assistant – (307) 766-3795.
