Getting to Know Us. . .
From time-to-time we like acquainting you with members of our athletics department staff and coaches. Today meet UW Intercollegiate Athletics' Director of Ticket Operations, Brent Fletcher.
This is Fletcher's ninth year in the athletics department. He came to UW in 2003 to study music, while working in the ticket office as a student assistant. A native of Rapid City, SD, he graduated from UW with a music education degree in 2008. He is in his fifth year as a full-time employee in the ticket office. Fletcher and his wife Megan have one son, Palmer, who is now 18 months old.
Fletcher answers some random questions:
If you could have been in another profession, what would it have been?
"I would have been a music teacher."
If you could have been a professional athlete, what sport and position?
"I would have played football and been a linebacker."
Professional team favorites:
"In football I am a New England Patriot fan. Adam Vinatieri's game-winning field goals in two straight Super Bowls were my most memorable moments in pro sports. I am a baseball fan, and like the Rockies."
Your best memory at UW thus far?
"The WNIT game for the Cowgirls, and football team's victory over UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl."
What was your favorite television show when you were growing up?
"I never missed Alf."
How about your favorite movie?
"I would say it would have to be Remember the Titans."
Something you've been proud of during your time at Wyoming?
