I can't wait to see Mertens back on the field.

Which new signees will be participating in spring ball this year?
 
So our German is smart in addition to physically advanced. You have to love that.

The aussie punter has me amped. Directional punting with power = great field position.
 
Austin McCoy was an occasionally good punter. There were a few games his punting put Wyoming in position to win.

Hawaii has a punter from Australia that can blast the crap out of the ball too. I don;t know much about God Damn punter, but my question is can he pin people inside the 20? Alex Dunnachie (UH's punter) could get arrested for how hard he kicks that football, but couldn't pin someone inside the 20 to save his life.

That's why not only strength, but accuracy is important as well. Not to mention consistency.
 
Directional punting with accuracy is a strength of those Aussie's. I'm excited that we got that guy. I think we have extremely talented kickers signed, both with power.

this is a common misconception about punting that ires me


season total yardage is the WORST way to rate a punter....

I was on gowyogo the day ian posted it and i think ian edited it right away from goddamn to gleeson.
hell even facebook Tim Gleeson and look at his friends... Brett Smith Ghaali Muhammed Brandon Miller.
Just more proof that it IS actually gleeson. this is getting annoying.
