Southern Inbreds vs Fighting Irish

Refs are already crap. 2 blown calls, and finally reviewed a "forced fumble".

I'd say screw it and live and die by the blitz if I'm ND. Punish the inbred backfield all night.

This game is a screaming, red flashing lights example of why there should be a playoff. Notre Dame is not one of the best two teams in football.

Not sure what their issues on defense are, they've never had so many miscues before. But their offense was NEVER a high scoring offense. More like, score a couple of times and keep control of the ball type.

I was laughed at by a coworker when I said Notre Dame wouldn't have a chance. He said Alabama would have to score defensively to be able to win as ND's defense was "unstoppable" or something to that effect.

Tomorrow's going to be pretty awkward for him, even if ND comes back in a miracle fashion.

How many Notre Dame fans are going to call in sick tomorrow... you know, because of the embarrassment.

They are clearly showing that tonight, but during the coarse of the season they earned the opportunity to play in the game. Its clear that Notre Dame doesn't belong on the same field as Alabama--so in summary the SEC and everybody else....again.

Anyone who really believed that Notre Dame had a chance to win, well, I'll be nice and just     !!!!

What's the over/under on Holtz making it through the night? Irish look lost.
He can't die. We're force fed his garbage all year, time to see him attempt to eat crow.

You mean he's inmortal? Someone needs to cut his head off.

Highlander references for those who don't know.

Somewhere in one of these posts a long time ago I called ND overrated and someone else was like no they aren't, Yes yes they are.

Non-AQs get drilled for having "weak schedules", but the 2012 Irish got a free pass for whatever reason. The Domers moved closer to non-AQ status tonight without a doubt. They're lucky they're damned rich.

TBH I think the fact they will never have this chance again as an independent was the free pass.

Not sure what you mean by this, Notre Dame had a tough schedule this year. Their SOS according to Sagarin was #21! Alabama was #19, teams with lower SOS than ND: Oregon (38), Georgia (27), South Carolina (23), Ohio State (60). So I'm confused as to why some people keep bringing up how Notre Dame didn't deserve to be in the title game because they had a weak SOS, because they didn't.

Unless you are referring to the shellacking they received tonight, in which case, never mind.

Totally agree. Without a playoff, I say Ohio State is the number one team.
