South Dakota @ Wyoming

Man! Is anyone even interested in Wyo basketball anymore? Everyone was all hyped last year when we finally got rid of HS, and then these boards were filled with speculation of who was going to coach. Then filled with joy over the coach we got back. Now, the season starts, the Pokes are 3-1 and no body is saying a damn word!
What the hell wyonation?

Hey KC - I care and I'm excited. In fact, the reason I didn't post anything was because I was traveling to Laramie for the game last night and we didn't get back home till late. Friday, the Jim Thorpe Classic tourney starts in Laramie and for three days we'll be doing a lot of windshield time. We better get some more fans involved though, because I'm getting too old for this.

I'm certainly excited and make sure to post every game. I think most of the fans are still very excited by Football and the season hasn't ended yet and it's been one of the best seasons in Cowboys Football for quite a while.

Haven't seen any of the games, but it seems like the defense is intense. However assists seem to be lacking. Does that indicate a lack of team type of play?

I'd say they're still learning. And we've already won 3 games. It seems that they are getting better and better each game. I'll take it.

I also think everyone in is in "wait and see" mode with this team so far. So many underachieving seasons will do that to a fan base. After attending my first game, I came away impressed but I want to keep my excitement in check until we get into conference play and see what this team can do.

No I think they play fine as a team. In the one game I watched--thier only loss so far--they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, especially in the second half of the game. I haven't seen any stats from that game but I'd be willing to bet they shot under 15-20% in the second half.
The defense in the game against UWGB was pretty intense, Washington is a monster inside and can block any shot that's taken within 5 feet of the basket.
My biggest concern in that game, and it can be corrected easily, was rebounding. I saw a lack of boxing out and GB got several second chance points.
They're young and they have a ton of upside, they'll only get better as the season goes along. I'd look for at least a .500 record from them this year.

on the b ball front is that you could only see one game so far.

We keep telling yourselves that it is 2011 and we have all kinds of new additions to our facilities and we have our own tv network and yet..........all we can do is listen to the game just like we are back in the 60's
or 70's.

This upcoming tournament is in our own gym but we gave away the right to let our fans watch the damn thing.

Is anyone driving the bus?
