South Dakota school of mines

Should not have taken that long to pull away from a D2 team. The team has looked a little off the past couple of weeks. Hopefully they can get the ship pointed in the right direction before conference play starts.
 
We really missed Wenzel, I heard he was sick. I looked at the team stats late in the 2nd half and Mines had 15 steals. I don’t think I’ve ever seen 15 steals at any level.
 
Not the best performance I've seen, but the sky isn't falling. We played 3 true freshmen serious minutes. We shot better than 50% from the field and from 3. Yeah, we turned it over 17 times but forced 15. They fouled 12 more times than us. All of that and we won by 21 without two starters and a sixth-man. Not great, but not terrible.
 
This team is better than we could have reasonably hoped for, but that doesn't mean they're good. Still going to take a significant amount of time to gel.
