I'm trying to figure out who it was - a bunch of money just appeared out of nowhere. $500k to buy out DC. $300-$800k a year salary increase for HC. Airplane. Major staff salary increases. I doubt it was the state or UW that came up with this money.

He must have really angered someone along the way.

I'm hearing the money is coming from UW, not a booster. Either way, we owe them our thanks. Hopefully we don't stop here and we get EVERYTHING we need to compete financially and academically.

I bet it does. I think he actually liked it here. But instead of being friendly, he tried treating the football program like it was CIA special ops or something. How many times did he close the media and fans off to practices? I think he would have had 6 years if he hadn't sealed himself off from the fan's after getting a big fat raise and creating all kinds of animosity and doubt.

The program will never change...only the people will....

Let's just pray that it doesn't end there. I want to see the recruiting budget increased, the transfer rules fixed, and Shyatt given the tools he needs to be successful.

I agree. If anything, that consultants report turned out to not be a waste of money. Its certainly showing where athletics is failing and hopefully they implement more of it - sooner than later.

If there is one thing missing from that report - I think it is that Laramie needs a larger airport. Or maybe UW should make a deal with the airlines to get some direct flights in from other MWC towns. Maybe a ticket lottery - eg enough tickets purchased from Nevada and the airline would do a direct flight and vice versa?
