Some surprising teams

Some surprising undefeated teams...

Big10:
Minnesota, 4-0. Haven't played anyone real tough so it's hard to say if they are good or not.

SEC:
Arkansas. About to be 4-0 but haven't beaten anyone too impressive either, but taking it to Rutgers right now. They were ranked #2 in the country just a couple seasons ago, but had the awful season last year and lost Tyler Wilson to the NFL.

Washington:
About to be 3-0. Killed Boise, and are looking very legit.

ACC:
Maryland. About to be 4-0. Haven't played anyone too great, but are whooping West Virginia right now.

Are any of these teams legit? BCS Bowl contenders? Conference title contenders? National Title game contenders?

Minnesota will have a minimum of 3 losses in the B1G, so they are none of the above, probably get bowl eligible though.
Arkansas will be the same as Minnesota although they could easily have more losses than that in conference, with games against Alabama, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss. Could even throw Missouri in there as well.
Washington very easily could challenge for the PAC12 title and if they win it (and go undefeated or only have one lose)I'd guess they would get a crack at the BCS title.
I have no idea about Maryland, I haven't seen them play yet and don't know much about them.

So much for Arkansas taking it to Rutgers. Rutgers just took the lead with a few minutes left in the game.

I think Washington and Maryland could contend for their respective conferences, but I believe the Pac12 comes down to the Ducks and the Cardinal. Maryland I could really see winning ACC though

Washington likes to play spoiler though.
They beat the Beavers last season when OS was #7 in the country and 7-0.
They also beat Standford.
But both of those game were in Seattle.
Washington has an insane home field advantage, kind of like the Seahawks do.

That is true, I think they will at least compete in every game this year and could possibly run the table

Didn't Minnesota play UNLV? I thought that's who I watched play UNLV. If I'm right, that team is the worst 4-0 team in America

Yep....and SJSU sure looked just as good as UNLV did against them.

Seriously, what's with Minnesota and all the weak MWC/WAC schools? They've played NMSU and a few others as well.

Minnesota has a LONG history of scheduling soft OOC games, so they enter B1G play at 4-0, so that they only need to win 2 conference games to get bowl eligible. Only thing that will change that going forward is if the B1G goes to a 9 game conference schedule. As of present, they've just replaced their former FCS opponents (NDSU/UND/SDSU/USD/etc.) with the bottom of the barrel FBS teams (NMSU, UNLV) and it wouldn't surprise me to see future games scheduled against the likes of Idaho or any of the directional schools making their promotion to FBS (i.e. Western Kentucky, Georgia Southern, etc.).

That being said, they completely manhandled SJSU yesterday with their backup QB and backup RB. Didn't even need to try to pass. They might be a legit 9 win team this season, which is pretty good for Minnesota.

Minnesota still won 51-23...
I'm not on the Minnesota bandwagon but damn you talk like they won the game 3 to 2.
They won by 28 points...
And before SJSU loses to them, they are talked about being a MWC title contender, now Minnesota beats them, people talk about SJSU being a bottom barrel MWC team.
