This dude has been playing the best basketball on our team outside of Leonard for a couple weeks now... It is time he becames a starter over either Grabau or Adams... I am sick of those two doing nothing and Sobes adds size. Reward the kid
 
Sobey will be very good. His time is coming. This season is for the most part, lost. Let the seniors finish their careers out, maybe give the young guys a bit more time in the CBI/CIT. But at this point you just reward the guys who have worn the brown and gold for 2-4 seasons.

this is exactly what I felt.

I am curious about McManamen and Aaron Tyser, but I trust Coach Shyatt.
Those two probably have not reached a certain D1 level.

Adams obviously has athleticism and athletic ability which impressed us, but also showed us inconsistency in scoring.

I think it is so hard to sign good dual guards or perimeter shooter.

Season lost? Didn't you predict at the beginning of the season that we would only manage 15-18 wins. And here we are...How has this season been a loss. Maybe Wyo doing well to begin with gave you a false sense of hope. And you began to think, "Ohh, NCAA Tourney run." But in "REALITY" Were we a team to do that?
So, why is it a loss if we go to the NIT or CBI?

As of this thread, Sobey has been coming on strong on the offensive side of things, but his defense is lackluster at best. Adams and Grabau play far better defense...That's why they start.
 
i'd like to see Shyatt take the leash off of Adams and let's see his true scoring potential, I like Sobey coming off the bench, much needed lift/spark for us.

McManamen will be just fine. He got some PT as a true freshman and even started a game. You just don't go from Wyoming high schools to D1 superstar over night. Not sure about Tyser, but he is a walk-on.

It's always nice to see a Wyo kid play. But our guards have "all" gotten playing time this year. No one can complain that none of these guys didn't get a chance. Multiple guys even got to start once or twice. Had Martinez not had his issue, this would have been different. We would have had less of these guys getting playing time. In a sense, the Martinez thing may have been a blessing...Not for this year! Not by any means! Would've changed our outcome this year. But all of our guards have gained critical experience. That is the blessing.
 
you don't "reward" guys for being here longer thats High School political bull shit... you play the guys that are playing well, besides Sobey is a JR. He is playing a lot better than Adams that kid has let way too much get to his head and quite frankly his whole second semester has been terrible. He will be a hell of a player, don't get me wrong but Sobey is playing well and Adams would be a great 6th man...

Coach Shyatt seems to think sticking it out through the senior year matters. He has talked about it enough. I can think of some salty scorers that didn't stick with us through think and thin. They would have been seniors this year...
