Talk to Wick or any of the other players about Saturday and what not?

I don't think many players would be happy to discuss getting rolled on national TV. At least I hope not.
I didn't mean about the loss, but behind the scenes, really.

Wick was a little late to class but I talked to Perez about it very briefly.
I said something like "The first half was good, but the second half just went to hell" and Perez said something like "Yeah IDK we just came out flat, we aren't much of a second half team".
I said "Well you guys can still get bowl eligible if you win the last two games"
He said "Yeah. We can beat Boise (very confidently). We can put points up on them for sure"
I said "Yeah but they have that bad ass running back"
He said "Yeah he is big and does work but we can still beat them if the D comes to play".

He has more confidence in them than I do for the Boise game.
But he surprised me with his confidence about Boise. They might be pretty pissed about the Fresno game.
Wick looked tired when he came into class.
Hopefully it was tired from practice, not staying up all night or anything.

it's pretty ridiculous that the team knows this of themselves yet can't find a solution...I put 95% of the blame for this shit sandwich we've become on the coaching staff (CDC especially) but at some point the players have to want it too....So far I haven't seen it...Even Brett looks beaten down and checked out. Who knows. Atleast basketball is upon us and we have a coaching staff interested in progressing and players that seem to eat, sleep, live and die their sport.

Maybe Perez should be the guy. We did better when he was in, although he did have his lapses. I just don't think Kiely is quite ready.

They probably come out flat due to the shitty coaching staff.
Same plays over and over, no adjustments. We go out there and get shut down 2, 3 drives in a row, and meanwhile the other offense goes up big because they figured our shitty defense out.
That's on coaching. Even if the players are pumped up for the first 6 minutes of the 3rd quarter, the game is over by then.

Ultimately, EVERYTHING is on the players. But yes, coaches are there to put all the pieces in place and motivate for the players to succeed.

"Coachable" players need no help getting motivated and always do the right thing, right Kansas? :geek:

Never talked to a college football player who wasn't confident about their next game. Glad the optimism remains, and at least they aren't blaming the coaches. But opinions can vary from player to player. I'm sure BP has learned that first hand.

What? You're surprised I said our coaching staff is shitty? If you are, then you don't pay attention to anything on here.

Guy, you're either schizophrenic or insulting my intelligence. You've been a Christensen defender and cheerleader all season.
