No; it's not.Subjective, dude.
Yes, it is. Learn English and use words correctly. No; it's not.
It's an absolutely bizarre mentality to have, born of entitlement, stubbornness, tribalism, ego, and some weird need to control and judge literal kids' and their families' lives.
Not one single person has ever been able to give me an answer as to why the school, the athletic programs, or we as fans are automatically entitled to Wyoming students. Why? Because there isn't one. Not one that's based in reality, practicality, or reason.
The toxicity some of you have towards Wyomingites that dare to make their own decisions or step foot outside of the state for any length of time is astounding.
I do wonder what it’s like going through life with no sense of loyalty to anything. Guess I’m just different than most.Eh, the Basin has always been a bit isolated from the rest of the state. Growing up in Powell I felt zero connection or ties to Cheyenne or Laramie. That included the University of Wyoming.
If the Cody kid has no family ties to UW why is he obligated to go play for coaches everyone on this board is ripping when he has the opportunity to play for a better coach?
Cool. So your boss doesn’t have to give you a raise ever and you will just stay at your job purely due to a ‘sense of loyalty.’ Yes you are different than most.I do wonder what it’s like going through life with no sense of loyalty to anything. Guess I’m just different than most.
A lot of the movement won't even be related to the largest bag of cash....Players stayed at schools in the past because they didn't have a choice .... now that transfers are commonplace, players transfer. Players having choice is going to be tough for the 60% (or more) of schools that aren't considered to be "top" choices for recruits.Cool. My advice to an athlete - - weigh everything and make the best decision for you. If some college wants to pay you 6 figures to go play there, then you probably ought to strongly consider it.
Wow. Intriguing. Would be super cool to have a two-sport guy. We truly need a ball handler on the bball team
Looks like this flipped from NC state so he could play football and basketball

History says he will probably eventually pick one sport. It’s incredibly hard to play both.Wow. Intriguing. Would be super cool to have a two-sport guy. We truly need a ball handler on the bball team

You think the kids from Wyoming that don’t choose to come to Wyoming are getting paid 6 figures? In your mind.
College football is now undoubtedly a business and players are paid.
In addition to having his education paid for, I believe that Luke Talich probably makes more in NIL at Notre Dame than pretty much any player on Wyoming’s football roster. If he becomes a starter, then significantly more. You think the kids from Wyoming that don’t choose to come to Wyoming are getting paid 6 figures?
Well, the education part is basically irrelevant for most athletes, and I guess we'll see about second string former walk ons getting paid 100kIn addition to having his education paid for, I believe that Luke Talich probably makes more in NIL at Notre Dame than pretty much any player on Wyoming’s football roster. Once the House settlement is over - we won’t even have to speculate anymore. We will know publicly that the Notre Dame player makes a lot more than the Wyoming player.
Beginning next year - teams can directly pay players up to about an aggregate of $23 million for football yearly.Well, the education part is basically irrelevant for most athletes, and I guess we'll see about second string former walk ons getting paid 100k
