So did Darin McDonald sing or not? Scout & rivals do not show him signing Letter of Intent, and UW press release on website doesn't mention him either. Anyone know what the hell is up?????????????????

McDonald was originally supposed to enroll at UW for the current spring semester, but he didn't. Now coaches are hearing that he will be here in the fall, but Wisniewski told me, "We'll see what happens, though," today after the press conference. UW can't offer him a scholly because he has a stipend from his baseball career. Once that runs out, they will offer--if he's here and has made the two-deep. Until then, he'll go down as a walk-on if he shows up in the summer or fall.

I'm not sure if he just still can't decide what he wants to do or if he just didn't want to enroll yet. I think it would have been an advantage for him to practice with the team this spring, but I'm sure he had his reasons for waiting. I just hope he ends up here.

Apparently he's been living up in Idaho the last little while, and a guy I know up there sees him every once in a while at a local gym. He says he looks terrific physcially and was excited to see him on the field eventually.

Waiting to hear what cbeditor has to say about Jamicheal Hall signing, first saw info on it yesterday, I think on the Boomerang website. S from Mesa State with Crum. It will be nice for them to have a familiar face to pal around with. Sounds like he had good post season honors in the JC level yet wasn't rated very high by scout.com - no info found on rivals. Wonder how it affects the Darin McDonald situation?

YES, Darin McDonald is a Poke afterall.... I love it. I was excited when he committed, ticked when he didn't sign, but glad he is there now. Awesome. Good job staff on staying with it and continuing to add competition and depth at every position.

Yes, McDonald could help the Pokes out a whole bunch. From what I heard, he couldn't come to the spring practice because he was still under a contract with the Philadelphia Phillies and they wouldn't let him come.
