sheep week: this is demoralizing

Message boards always have a negativity bias... That's kind of what they are for. I'll come in here and do my complaining with you all but, no offense, I'd rather do my celebrating with real people.

To be fair, 4 wins against bad teams followed by 4 straight losses and getting pasted by a terrible Lobo team is, well, demoralizing.

Until yesterday, this POKES team hadn't shown much through 8 games. Hopefully this is a turning point and can get to Bowl game.

Over on Facebook Pokes Nation, they had over 160 responses on their game thread yesterday. Maybe the ability to post pictures is a game changer. Maybe the fact that people are more positive is a game changer. Either way, it is more enjoyable to read.

I would imagine any differences in tone on this board vs Facebook would have tons to do with hardcore life fans vs casual.

Like I said earlier.... Was at the game, was super into it, had a great time with flesh and blood friend's that don't care to share in my misery when the pokes lay an egg vs UNM. So rather than bore them with my inane analysis of why we suck after a loss...I bore you guys! Lol!

Arguably one of the biggest games of the year and the air has been let out of the fanbase. Evidence is on this board which I'm guessing is reflective of the broader fanbase in general.

This Board is the most negative segment of the fanbase that I encounter. I don't often visit this board anymore as a result.

I also think it speaks volumes about this board when there is virtually no traffic, other than bemoaning a few bad plays and the incompetence of the players and coaches during a resounding, dominating beatdown of the Sheep. It is almost like this board is rooting against this year's team.

I think a lot of the consternation stems from the fact that Bohl keeps writing checks with his mouth that he can't cash. Those who stay will be champions, were gonna kick the door in on the conference, we all heard it. Those are bold statements that make a whole fan base pissed when you can't deliver.

And SDPoke deserves to be on everyone's ignore for rather obvious reasons. He's a toxic poster, at the best of times.
