Here's a great pic of the three Cowgirl seniors:

Umm okay?

Like we all suspected the MWC is a 1 bid league.
Unless we win the MWC Tourney we are going to the WNIT

Wow.. no love for the MW. Montana as a 15 kinda sucks.. the Lady Griz have been pretty good this year.

Sadly, the MWC in Women's BB is almost identical to the Big Sky (Big Sky is 16th in conference RPI, MWC is 17th). MWC is tougher at the top (Cowgirls are 3rd in the MWC with a 68 RPI, Montana is tops in the Big Sky at 71), but the Big Sky has a few more teams in the middle. The 4th highest MWC RPI is UNM at 188! Everyone else is sub 200. The Boise loss that the Cowgirls experienced early in the year really looks bad (BSU has an RPI of 277).

Do you think that Boise loss will keep us out of the tourney if the girls win against the sheep, and win the first two games of the tourney and the loss is to SDSU?
If so, that would be a huge bummer....

But I am expecting to see the cowgirls in the MWC Tourney Championship, then I think we are in for a bunch of home games til we win the whole thing or til we lose.

PS...Coach Joe is only 6 wins away from getting to 200 wins in 10 seasons!
And the next 3, are gonna be very winnable.

Yeah, MWC is strictly a one bid league this year (very outside chance that if SDSU wins out until the MWC title game that they could sneak in as an at-large, but I kind of doubt it).

I don't think the Boise game alone would have been enough for the Cowgirls. They played a very week OOC schedule and a weak conference schedule. They don't have a Top 50 win (0-3) and only two Top 100 wins (Fresno, Montana). With the weak schedule, they needed to probably beat SDSU at least once and avoid the loss to Boise to even get in the discussion, but that didn't happen, so it's all about Vegas now.
