SDSU got stuck for the night in Cedar City, Utah...

They rented a charter plane and had to stop to refuel. After they landed they decided not to fly the rest of the way tonight because of weather. They'll be coming in tomorrow.

I think it will actually help them. No distractions being in the enemy's territory. And it gets their blood pumped up

I'm a retired pilot, maybe I can talk the pilot of that charter in to finding the route over the mountains with the most turbulence and I doubt that would be hard to find right now. The SDSU players will probably be a little unsteady on their feet when they get off that flight. Naw, we want to beat them at their best.

Anyone else recall a Utah State football game that was delayed because their bus got stranded in a snowstorm on the way over the mountains? Our guys got off to a great start but then the Aggies recovered and came back to win. The Pokes just need to keep focus for the whole game.

Too bad they didn't refuel in Vegas instead of Cedar City.

Looks like the team has left Cedar City and is now in Grand Junction to refuel. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N567MA. They aren't scheduled to leave for a few still to head to Laramie. Does SDSU not have any money for a decent plane? Two refueling stops? Come on.

Stopped in Grand Junction for fuel? Isnt that why they landed in utah in the first place? Did they forget to get fuel while there, or did they forget to put the fuel cap back on?

Are you thinking of the Nevada game in 2000? That game was delayed because Nevada was having trouble getting over the Summit. Near the beginning of Vic's tenure and the loss to Nevada (who was pretty bad at the time) was shocking. Of course, it turned out to be par for the course for most of the decade, but I always look back on that game as a turning point (in a bad way) for the program.

We haven't lost to USU in Laramie since 1978.

That is the game I was thinking of. I stayed up to listen to that game from afar and they kind of lost me after that. I knew what to expect and the headline the following day usually confirmed it.

I am just thankful that the SDSU team stayed on the ground and was safe last night.

Looks like they just arrived. Here is some video of their plane landing at Brees.

That pilot was the man! seen it before. I've seen another of a small jet landing the same way with the same results. Now the guy who landing the airliner in the river, he's got coconuts down there!
