We just struggle to score against good athletic teams. We need a couple shooting guards who can create their own shot.
 
No fouls being called for shit but more importantly no boxing out at all shit we don't even have 1 person down there for boards.
 
we aren't getting rebounds because we are not getting shots out of our offense. we are getting random shots with no one in the offense. Bad shooting hurts a lot too.
 
Tonight showed that we are still not quick enough to keep up with elite teams, but man I like our heart and hustle.

Part of the lack of rebounders is on the shooters who do not look to see if someone is in position before pulling the trigger.
 
I like the fact the score is still only 50 it really shows that while we might not be able to hustle with elite teams we are a defense that teams can not ignore.
 
The only problem we had in this game is we flat out didn't shoot period. Our defense was good enough. Nobody shot well. If we would have shot half way decent that game was in the bag.
 
I think that a big part of the difference in shooting was that SDSU's players were able to get close enough to us that we were shooting off balance in order to make a little space to the the shot off. SDSU, on the other hand, was getting to their spots more quickly and getting their shots off while our defenders were still trying to close the gap. Therefore, they were going up strong for their shots rather than fading away like us.

We are a good team and I liked how we played, but I can see what SDSU is generally viewed as better. There is a reason they are #12/13. They passed the eye test tonight in my opinion.

That, and some "missed" calls by the refs. Just got back from the game.
 
yeah, it was a little rough on the officiating. I thought our bigs got called on some shit in the first half and then got mugged a few times. second half was a little better.

Refs had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of this game. SDSU is a good team and we lack the ability to score against athletic teams. It's really that simple. WYO can't afford to go on 5-6 minute stretches where we don't score.
