That, and some "missed" calls by the refs. Just got back from the game.

Refs had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of this game. SDSU is a good team and we lack the ability to score against athletic teams. It's really that simple. WYO can't afford to go on 5-6 minute stretches where we don't score.
Not denying that we couldn't score much at all, but there were some bad calls that the refs missed. And it was cleaned up some in the 2nd half.

The only problem we had in this game is we flat out didn't shoot period. Our defense was good enough. Nobody shot well. If we would have shot half way decent that game was in the bag.

We did not get good looks, not as simple as just not shooting well. We severely lack perimeter athleticism. This is clearly our team's Achilles heel. It is easy to defend a 5'9" PG who isn't a great shooter and two wings who are catch and shoot only offensively. If we had a slasher who could penetrate we would be so, so much better when we have the ball. Watching Paco and Luke try to put it on the deck is painful. We are easy to defend right now.

Tonight showed that we are still not quick enough to keep up with elite teams, but man I like our heart and hustle.

Part of the lack of rebounders is on the shooters who do not look to see if someone is in position before pulling the trigger.

Can't keep up!!!! We were in the game and played poorly! we lost by ten, we lost by 10 to NM and shouldve beat them but our O froze for 5 mins while our d didnt give up a point! We are right there, a couple calls, couple shots and you never know what wouldve happened

The rebounding on O with no one there has nothing to do with shooting to see if someone is there or not. The shots werent early in the possession and no shooter should ever hesitate, it screws up rhythm and timing. No one stops to see if the rebounders are there, plus players from the peremiter need to crash hard thats where O boards come from half the time anyways

This Pokes team works hard, but if shots dont fall we will struggle. One thing remains constant, their effort and their defensive intensity and pride. As long as those 2 things are always present we will be in every game we play in this year!

Go Pokes!

I bet Steve Fishers breath smells like ref butthole. I hate that man and the way he teaches the hack and grab defense. And on top of that I am honestly surprised he doesn't break down in tears when he is throwing his temper tantrums
