Rivalry Week!

This is, without a doubt the best weekend of college football across the country.
Michigan-Ohio State
Alabama-Auburn
Ole Miss-Mississippi State
Oregon-Oregon State
Duke-North Carolina
Kansas-Kansas State
Georgia-Georgia Tech
Virginia-Virginia Tech
Clemson-South Carolina
UCLA-USC
Arizona-Arizona State
Florida-Florida State
Washington-Washington State

And even the newer forced rivalries...or at least ones they are putting more emphasis on at the end of the season...
Wyoming-Utah State
Utah-Colorado
Colorado State-AFA
Texas-Texas Tech
Iowa-Nebraska
TCU-Baylor

With it being Thanksgiving, college football on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, this weekend is looking to be awesome!
Enjoy all the other games, eat tons of turkey, and hopefully a Wyoming win on Saturday!

+1 this is what makes college sports special. Great week for college football and I am looking forward to it.

Our rivalry with Utah State isn't forced.. we've played them 63 times. We've only played Utah, New Mexico, Colorado State, and BYU more than USU.

I guess you could say something similar about DU, if you go far enough back in time.

They haven't been a rival since some time 50 years ago. So, for all intents and purposes we're just manufacturing one with an admittedly cool trophy but very dorky name. I don't care about them at all, other than we need a W to salvage our season.

I think people from SW Wyoming will care more.
But even then, people from SW Wyo always kinda liked USU.
They were the little brothers to the two douchey schools in Utah.

Plus, with Jaycee Carroll going to USU, people from Evanston like USU.
Not to mention the amount of people from there that have some sort of connection to USU.

CSU is a true rival, where we hate them. USU is more like our friend/brother.
 
Bill is a good man who has been through hell. I went to school with him. Super nice guy and loves his team. He has battled lots of health problems and was in hospital for some time. May bother someone, but I know him, and he is a good guy.
 
Ohio State's section had a bunch of douchey chants, but that's exactly the type/size of student section we need. Granted, Ohio State University's student body would almost/might be the largest city in Wyoming at 56,867 students. That's a shit load of students.

But, that is a reason I wanted the wyonation students to meet up.
If we can get the die hards together, we can make the rest of it awesome.
 
I think the Utah State rivalry will become relevant again considering location and similar recruiting.

I'd love a third rival... Third being CSU, AFA, and USU. We all know Hawaii isn't a rival.

This will carry over to basketball and be a tremendous series.

I don't see Hawaii so much as a rival, but I love the Paniolo Trophy with them. Great show of goodwill between two locales who you would never think would have something in common. I think the USU rivalry will grow into a really good rivalry, especially for the Western side of the state.
