I think 6-3 since Boise is not the team they were without Eloriaga and Marks is banged up as well. I think we will beat them on the road but I could see 5-4 too if we get 20+ wins and make a postseason tournament it is still heading in the right direction with our rebuild.
The nice thing about the Mountain West.. doesn't really matter who you're playing there's a very high probability an upset could occur.. Pokes could run the table for all we know.. no pushovers this year.. not even Fresno.

BTW, fresno has been a pushover for every other team as we are their only win.

Air force is obviously better than I thought. As to us, I'll just say our record speaks for itself. I will say this, we won't win many games with our point guard shooting 22 times and getting 1 assist.

I'm not sure about that. Seems like the goal for the non-Big 3 schools are to win your home games, and hope to steal a game or two on the road. Wyoming is 3 games in the hole at home.....that's a huge hole to climb out of. If Martinez were still with the team, I'd give UW an outside chance to make a run at 8-8 in conference play. But 2-6 through one half of MWC play, with the remaining schedule? It isn't crazy to think UW could finish 4-12 or 5-11 in conference play.MrTitleist said:

No doubt they gave us a ton of opportunities to get back into that game and we just had no one develop a killer instinct. Leonard CAN"T ALWAYS be your answer. Someone else has to hit some shots. If one more person hits some shots yesterday we win that game. Towards the end the sheep were keying on Derrious and for some reason instead of passing to open people he chose to shoot covered threes and drive into the lane....another woulda could shoulda loss. Damn I thought watching the football team hurt. This is worse. WE are a better team than this we just don't know how to adapt when a team takes away that games stud. SuckskansasCowboy said:

Unfortunately, I predict us finishing 4-5 (although a possibility of 5-4 and 6-3 if everything goes right). I think this gets us into the NIT (barring an unlikely but certainly possible MWC tournament championship).
We need continued strong showings at home and then we can even host a couple of NIT games. Worst case scenrio is if we go to the CBI, I'd rather just be on the road as the games are uninteresting and a waste of money.

I think we will finish the season 5-4, I think we will take one more big one at home. Overall this team w/o Martinez is NIT/CBI 2nd/3rd round quality. With Martinez NCAA easily take Boise and take Elorriaga off the team. They are soo close to us it's not even funny. If Elorriaga is on they dominate games just like we did with Martinez, both of them being shooting 40% from 3 range.
BSU with a healthy Elorriaga will take the NCAA bid we should have gotten.

I have a bad feeling MWC fans are in for a rude surprise on Selection Sunday. Just my gut feeling (not worth anything), but I think the MWC only gets 4 bids (CSU, UNLV, SDSU, UNM). I could be completely wrong.....but I see someone (BSU, AFA, whoever) sitting on Selection Sunday with 20/21 wins and being sent home.Wyo2dal said:

So far their only losses came when he didn't play. Without him they struggle just like us but with him they are a serious threat. But I still have to agree we could end up seeing 4 depending who wins the MWC Tournament will be if that 5th shows up.
