That game was bizarre on so many levels. And I mean that. The half-dozen low percentage bombs (that destroyed drives), the 3 flea-flickers (I hate those with a passion), the defense that played okay but for two horrible cover failures, the endless injuries. There is no hope for 2024 and we are watching a program marching towards a cliff.
First time in over 25 years that I am "letting go". I would regard myself as being anything but a fair weather fan. But for me, this year is in the books. Whatever happens from here on out, I cannot stand to watch. No more planning weekends around Pokes games. I will pick this back up again sometime next year and maybe there will be a few happy surprises.
Just really sick of the transfer portal, redshirt strategies, NIL, players leaving teams, conferences being destroyed, etc. I am sick of BS political commercials and advertisements. And mostly I am sick of Wyoming's utter failure to field a decent team this year and, truthfully, I am sick of people who think billion dollar lawsuits, NIL and the transfer portal is good for college sports. There's more to life on a fall afternoon than being disappointed and/or pissed off.
