Who all remembers who the coach was the season before Roach's back-to-back Holiday Bowl appearances?

I just noticed that Dennis Erickson in back in the game as the Co-Offensive Coordinator at Utah.

Thoughts:
  • Based on what Roach had to build on, he can't have been too bad.
    I doubt he is as old as Snyder at K-State.
    He didn't sue us over his contract when he left.

Another alternative: Terry Bowden is back on the sideline at Akron and I thought he did ok at Auburn (other than a bad start to a season after giving up a long touchdown pass to Payton Manning the year before--so shameful ;) )
 
It is not like we have had a lot of success taking fliers on coordinators who have never run a program before. I would take 20-1-1 over two seasons in a heartbeat, even if that does not earn security at Auburn.

Erickson is infamous for doing just enough to get him to another program as quickly as possible. Guy gets around more than a $2 hooker.

1982-'85 - Idaho (32-15)
'86 - Wyoming (6-6)
'87-'88 - Washington State (12-10-1)
'89-'94 - Miami (63-9) [Left Miami for the NFL]
'99-'02 - Oregon State (31-17)
'06 - Idaho (4-8)
'07-'11 - Arizona State (31-31)
