What are you hearing on the Hawaii boards? I get the feeling Norm Chow is not well liked by their fans and may be on the hot seat.

They are willing to give him another year but he is on the hot seat. Some think they'll win at least 5-6 games this season. With their schedule front loaded with BCS opponents if they start getting injuries early, it'll be a long season.

Hawaii does do well at home so I really hate saying this but Hawaii could very well beat us.....and they should've last year!!!

Yep, we gave them every opportunity and if it hadn't been for Brett Smith - they would have beaten us.

I don't care if we win with all field goals. Add long as the Cowboys win I'm a happy fan

Chow has recruited well. Tulimasealii might be the conferences most talented defensive linemen by a long shot. A rare elite Hawaiian recruit that stood home. But really, Hawaii's talent level is a testament to just how awful a head coach Norm Chow is. Hawaii has the talent of a Top 4 MW team, and is still horrible. UH played USC, Oregon St., Fresno, SDSU, etc. close....but Chow finds ways to lose. Hawaii will probably be favored to beat Wyoming in October, and I do think Hawaii is the more talented team, but that game is as unpredictable as any. UH has the capabilities of beating anyone on its schedule based on talent alone, AND losing to anyone based on coaching. The inconsistency is a given. I could see Hawaii beating Utah State and losing to Northern Iowa all in one season next fall.

Never been impessed with Norm Chow at Hawaii. If you are continuously losing close games, thats a coaching thing. Look at his play calling last season against us in OT. All runs.....after their Qb was having a career day against our secondary. On the the flipside DC did a sound job in OT mixing it up.

LOL As I told a good buddy of mine last night...Hawaii has the talent to hang with anybody. Problem is coaching. A really drunk Charlie Harper (former character on "2.5 Men") could a better job than Chow.
