Quarterback Chris Stutzriem is leaving the Cowboys at semester..
My guess is that he's not the type of qb to run the Florida-style offense that Cole is brining..

I've also got my sources that say that if we get qb Adam Barry from cali..he has a VERY good chance of playing as a true freshman

any thoughts or questions???
 
That is bad news about Stutzriem. He evidently didn't like something about Cole. We are pretty thin in the QB dept. right now. Looks like Sween or Hetrick unless we get Barry, and I heard rumors that Hetrick was leaving too.
 
ya, I haven't heard that..but one of my buddies who's on the o-line says he left the team..he wasn't playing or anything but it still sucks.

It looks like we're REALLY depending on this Barry kid from so-cal to commit..I've heard that he's better than Sween is right now out of h.s.

Stutz definitely isn't the type of qb to be running the Florida-style offense, tho..
 
Transfers happen all the time, especially during coaching changes(Even small coordinator changes)

I'm still mad with Karsten, but I also still have faith in him. I hope we can land Barry, but from what I've heard he isn't that great. UH recruited him but stopped after we found much better athletes. I think we have the players to be successful, just didn't have the coach. I'm hoping Cole ends up being a steal.
 
Who'd you hear from that Barry isn't that good?
I'm gonna go with believing someone close to the team that tells me that if we land Barry, he'll be the best qb on our roster..no doubt.
you guys have REALLY good qbs lol and a sound system...
i could live with playing a true frosh if he's as good as advertised..
the only reason he is considering Montana is because he sees it as a program to turn around but after we finished the way we did I could see him comitting very soon.
 
Cole to Montana?? He better jump on the waiting list.. we're four deep at QB as it is. Senior, 2 juniors, and a redshirt freshman. The RS runs a spread option attack, the other three are dropback passers.

I hope WY doesn't lose anymore QBs, and I think Barry would be a nice grab for the Pokes, especially with Stutzreim transferring. Until then, Sween is still the man to beat.

I'm just trying to tell you guys some from the source, insider info.. that they've pretty much told this kid that he'll play if he commits but reports that you'll read will say ''could play'' or ''may play''..i'm tellin u like it is guys.

haha.. I think maybe my dyslexia and confusion made me put the wrong name in there! :)
 
I hope he signs soon, I need some good news for the football team. Maybe this will light a fire under Sween in the off season. I am SO sick of people out here in the ACC talking about what happened to the Cowboys. I get the question all the time, all they know is that we beat up on a very good UVA team, and then died. I don't know what to tell them, so I tell them to get lost. :)
 
From what I've read barry looks like a lock, he isn't taking much interest in anyone else. And theres no way Boise offers him. He should commit soon.

I hope he stays. I think things will be alot different for all the QB's than they were under BC.
