I think Bohl looked at this as a way to make up for what he didn't do in the Oregon game. Which is get younger guys on the field and get them practice. If you are beat why risk injury to those leading you into conference play?
I still like what he did, I was excited to see Hill in the game and I'll continue to trust what Bohl is doing until he gives me a reason not to.

I think it would've been a perfect opportunity to put Tommy in for the entire 4th qtr if injury prevention were truly the case. Why not let Tommy get some throws in, instead of just handing the ball off to May and Hill in dirt time.
