1. Wyoming
umm... the rest doesn't matter ;)

My picks....

1. New Mexico - Returns enough talent, I was never high on Alford to begin with.
2. Boise St. - Returns practically everyone from a tourney team. If UNM doesn't win the league, Boise will.
3. San Diego St. - Fisher's Aztecs get the edge over UNLV due to coaching.
4. UNLV - Lost very good talent. Recruits well, but I'm not a Dave Rice fan.
5. Fresno St. - This years surprise in the league IMO.
6. Utah St. - Feel weird putting them this high. Newcomers rarely do well in season one.
7. Wyoming - Improvements made, but loss of Washington won't be easy to negate.
8. Colorado St. - Who didn't they lose to graduation?
9. Nevada - They have Deonte Burton back. They'll hang around, falter late.
10. Air Force - Awful year in Colorado Springs continues.
11. San Jose St. - I cringe every time I acknowledge their presence in the conference.

AND I KEEP SAYING SJSU never shoulda been given an MW invitation in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't disagree with your breakdown of the teams ahead of Wyo, and I think USU is the surprise team of the league.
I think Wyo take big steps this season. Similar in the way football did in year 3.
The team is made up of all Shyatt recruits, and has a way better chemistry, and are ready to take that next step.

Nance has to be a darkhorse for MWC player of the year.
He should be averaging well over 15 points a game with about 10 boards a game.
Adams is going to be awesome...hopefully he gets himself a girlfriend and gets his head straight and quits posting whiny things on twitter, but I think he is fine.
I am excited to see how Haldorson and McManamen progress.
Oh yeah....Hankerson and Granberry!!!!

The twitter comment is priceless...

I think Shyatt did a great job getting people in this season to fill the Washington role, so much in fact I think we will do better this year then the previous two years in conference play. Next year might sting a little depends how other players mature.

I pick Wyoming to finish in the top 5.
