Premature pre-combine but CBS Sports Projects

Huff in the 4th would be a shock. I'd be thrilled as hell for him, but wow.....he really struggled at times this past season.

Herron will sneak into the 3rd round. This years T.Y. Hilton.

What a moment for Wyoming Football it would be if Brett went that high.

Huff is undersized. Honestly thought he was much bigger. than 5'11 195.
He got beat a ton in 2013 too.....I'm rooting for him, but 4th round seems optimistic.

Smith, given a solid to good o-line, would be a great get for most any team, and comes without the Manziel issues.

Herron, good size for the slot with excellent speed. Catching, most times he's solid, but he's needs to be more consistent.

Huff, despite the horrid defense, he was one of the few bright spots on the team.

With Hundley not coming out, this can only help out Brett in the QB status of the draft, sure would love to see a 2nd rounder!!!!

Many said the exact same thing about Taushan Gibson.

This is true - and yet he is doing great in the NFL. From where I sit, that speaks to bad coaching and maybe the same is true of Huff.

That's true, but Gibson seemed to improve tremendously when he got moved to safety. But yeah you're correct we've seen it happen before. I'd still put my money on Smith/Herron going before him though, potentially much earlier.

Any time a Mountain West team has 3 players potentially going in the top 4 rounds (and yet finish with the recent records of Wyoming), you really have to question the coaching ability of the coaches. Especially when one of those players is the quarterback.

Testament to just how badly the offensive and defensive lines have played in recent years. Time will tell if that's a coaching oversight, or a genuine talent issue.

I think Vorel hit the nail on the head. DC out athleted weaker teams, but couldn't coach less athletic dudes to overcome any physical limitations.

I think Wyo sending 3 players with such bad records speaks to DC recruiting ability for the "skilled positions", his lack of coaching ability, and our lack of a O and D line.

Yep...reminds me of June Jones a little. A master at finding QBs, RBs, and WRs.....a bum at finding players in the trenches.

DC will be like Dennis Erickson in the future. Will always get an OC job at a BCS school as long as he is at a place where he can get good talent, he will be some-what successful. If he ever wants to take another head coaching job and be successful he needs to realize how he fucked up. But that isn't DC's style.

if any of them actually get an invite....i might actually watch the combine this year
