Predicted Standings and Awards [The Upset Blog]

It is going to come down to the border between the sheeeeep and us, winner goes to the new mexico bowl the other goes home for the holidays.

Agreed, we haven't lost to Utah St. since the 70s, and we aren't going to lose to them now. The Border war will be for a bowl bid.

And the way the Sheep's offense did last year, they'll be lucky to keep it close.

I'm still confused on all the love out there in the pre-season environment for the lambs? The coach's ass is warm, they are in the same boat talent wise as previous years, and they are the sheep. What gives? Sounds like a lot of sunshine pumping has been going on down there in the Fort.

Did I miss an infusion of multiple four star impact recruits over the summer?

I think it's because they finished with a better record than us. You don't see too many predictions out there that have any teams moving more than one spot. It's usually a leap frog type of deal, but no one makes bold predictions. I've seen every one and they are like photo copies of themselves.

Further...have you seen thier schedule? It is SDSU circa 2010 all over again:

09/03/11 at New Mexico (WIN)
09/10/11 vs. Northern Colorado (WIN)
09/17/11 vs. Colorado (TOSS)
09/24/11 at Utah State (WIN)
10/01/11 vs. San Jose State (WIN)
10/15/11 vs. Boise State (LOSS)
10/22/11 at UTEP (WIN)
10/29/11 at UNLV (WIN)
11/12/11 vs. San Diego State (LOSS)
11/19/11 at TCU (LOSS)
11/26/11 vs. Air Force (LOSS)
12/03/11 vs. Wyoming (LOSS)

At worst the Lammies finish 6 & 6...just based on the schedule alone.
