Pokes get first commit

I've been waiting for the recruits to come rolling in.
Does he plan on playing LB or moving positions?

"Good choice. Good choice." from "I Love Lucy," for Wyokie.

A local kid....nice pickup. Hope he stays at OLB....no more small DEs.

He must be really excited. Doesn't have to worry about the recruiting process during the fall either. Did he have any other offers?

Plus now we don't have to hear the arguement in 6 months, Wyoming never signs anyone from Wyoming they are missing out...

In related news, BYU still sucks.
Pfft....don't tell them that. All they needed was one 10-3 season loaded with wins over crappy teams and now they think they'll contend for the BCSNC this year.

nah...you'll still hear it

dave will pass on some kid and folks will have a conniption....and people (like my father in law) will still be saying that the state needs a law requiring UW to sing three state kids to athletic scholarships every year in FB :brick:

I really hope he's not a "small government" type of person.

Either way, do people want to win, or do they want to be the butt of every football joke there is? Sure 3 players won't make a huge difference, but it WILL make a difference... not to mention, policies like that could be a reason for out of state recruits to not take us seriously.

Anyone know how many Wyoming kids (both new this year, and returning) will be on the roster this fall?

I counted 5 total returners...and I believe there are 2 or 3 preferred walk ons, correct?

Has the state ever produced a truly elite talent? If Scout.com or one of those other sites existed back in the 90s/80s, did Wyoming ever have a 4-star/5-star caliber prospect where even SEC schools offered?

Trust me when I say, you guys have no idea what level of bitching about in-state recruiting Hawaii has. I've met some people that if every individual on the team doesn't have tan skin, they consider the team "not Hawaii's". Norm Chow's hiring (local coach) has only made this worse......kind of embarrassing to be honest.

I've seen threads on Sports Hawaii about this ever since I joined that board back in April of 2004. Makes me glad I'm a Wyoming fan.

Seems like Kaligis is killing it in the PNW.

He and Christensen are both hitting that area and their connections in that area very hard. I believe they both have many connections and are well known there.
